G'day Mates!
We have a few exciting events coming up this week!
Spec-Tax-Ular Pinot Noir Tasting with Mark TarlovCelebrate Tax Day evening with a truly special pinot noir tasting with our good friend Boris Wiedenfeld-Needham.If you are a movie-nut, you might recognize the name Mark Tarlov as being the producer / director of many Hollywood hits, like Christine, The Man who knew too little, Serial Mom, Cecil B. Demented, among many others. If you are wine-lover, you may know him as the man who started first Evening Land Vineyards and after that, Maison L’Envoyé and Chapter 24 Vineyards. Few Oregon wineries have ever won the kind of critical acclaim and gained one mid-high nineties score after another, as Mark’s, and rightly so.His vision is to make rich and expressive Oregon Pinot Noirs without all the alcohol and jammy-ness. Mark is a major Burgundy nut and has probably forgotten more about Burgundy than most of us ever knew. Maison L’Envoyé has a sister-winery in Burgundy and it shows.
Please join us this Wednesday to meet Mark Tarlov and share his vision and wines with him. He will be pouring wines from both Maison L’Envoyé and Chapter 24. Tastings of this caliber don’t come along often in these parts and we hope you can join us. Appetizers and finger food will be served.

What We're Drinking: William Rose 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
This new release is drinking spectacularly! It's everything a true Pinot nut is looking for in a classic Oregon Pinot Noir. Although drinking nicely in its youth, it will cellar like a champ. Refined, elegant body, with black cherry and a touch of earthiness in the bouquet, this wine demands no pairing, but will pair superbly with a decadent rack of lamb or roast beef. $48/bottle
