Wine and Music at Marshanne Landing

“Buen Sonido”
Sunday March 29th 3 PM

The good sounds highlighting music and composers of Latin America bring an exciting feel to a spring afternoon at MarshAnne Landing.   Asculta’s talented musicians lead by clarinetist Daniel Cathey includes Megan Naxer (flute), Joey Hartman (bassoon), Clara Terrell (oboe), and Chris Mudd (French horn).  The program features:

                        Lalo Schifrin:              La Nouvelle Orleans
Astor Piazzolla:          Liber Tango (arr. Scott)
                        Arturo Marquez:        Danza del Mediodia
Miguel del Aguila:     Wind Quintet No. 2

The program opens with sounds of the bustling French Quarter, Mardi Gras and more, followed by spirited tango sounds of Argentina, a midday dance and concludes with primitive ritualistic sounds, Caribbean dance, and far away sounds from the Middle East.
